OpenAI is said to be testing an AI-powered browser that uses Chromium, the same browser browser back-bone that Chrome, Edge, Opera and Brave use.

OpenAI is already in a "war" with Google when it comes to search engines, as more and more people use OpenAI's Chat-GPT as a search engine.

Now open AI wants to take on Google in the browser market, a market that Google's Chrome has dominated for years. 

OpenAI is said to be building an AI-powered "tab selection", a new tab page and a feature that lets Chat-GPT do the browsing for you, similar to Copilot Mode in Edge.

This feature is like Chat-GPT's agent mode that is powered by Linux and uses a browser to complete tasks in the cloud.

The AI-Powered browser is said to be released for MacOS first. If OpenAI does make it I will let you know.
