Hundreds of photos and videos have popped up about the new unreleased iPhone 17 Air, and it’s a small phone, but with its ultra-slim design, there is no space for a beefy battery, but Apple thought about that.

A new rumored accessory for the iPhone 17 Air has landed that aims at solving the battery life concerns.

The problem with this is why buy an iPhone that aims at being ultra-slim and put a big battery case on it? But once you think about it, it’s a case it doesn’t have to stay on the phone.

Let’s say you’re going on a hike, you pop on the extra battery case so your iPhone doesn’t die, then when you get home you put back on your normal case that you use every day.

Me for example, my iPhone 14 usually goes down to 35% when I get home after a day of use, this isn’t because I’m constantly on it. I set up my own VPN using Tailscale and running a VPN on your phone takes a lot of power, which is why my phone is usually at 35% when I get home, and when I do use it it’s because I’m not at home where I have my Mac. I mostly multitask, I have Apple News open and have iCloud Pages open because I’m usually writing for MBD News and one 200-word article takes around 7-10% of my battery.

Having a battery case would be nice if you like the thinness of your phone (besides the huge camera) but sometimes need the extra power.
