Amazon company Twitch announced at TwitchCon this year that it will be testing vertical live streams.
Now those tests have gone live with a few streamers, according to findings from AppSensa.
In a recent build, the company has found references to Vertical Video test and the features they will offer. Once the feature is released to the public, this would make Twitch more competitive to other services like TikTok Live and YouTube’s live streaming service.
As of now, the tests are only for “a few streamers.” AppSensa was also able to find a “vertical theater mode” which lets users toggle between Twitch’s classic and vertical format.
Twitch declined to say anything else about the Vertical Live tests, but they did say over the summer that they will be testing this with a small number of channels.
